Re: s-system fixes
Yes, but it involves removing the 1/4 turn catch bolt and drilling and tapping new holes for screws. It would mean that everytime you need to get to the battery that you would have to remove the 4 screws to get to it, but it makes it so solid, that it's worth it in my opinion.

Re: s-system fixes
In my opinion it is much better off because a full rear stock allows you to use a large style battery. It would then need to be rewired to the rear, but that's not too hard to accomplish.

Re: s-system fixes
It really shouldnt be all that hard to just move the wires to the back of the gearbox... Im pretty sure if your going to build that small vehicle you can move a couple wires

Re: s-system fixes
On the gear box rewiring try this how-to for info. It's info on how to wire a gun to the front but you could figure out how to do it in reverse for rearward wires.

Re: s-system fixes
Rewiring to the rear is not very hard, it just take spliting the gearbox to do it, and if you are not comfortable in doing that then it's best to leave it alone. You can reuse the wires without having to unsolder them, but you'll need to cut them for lenght and add a new connector on the end.

About 1/2" in front of the sight, there is a ridge in the barrel, this is where the barrel seperates at. It is painted over and may take a little bit of effort to break the paint seal. It is threaded 14mm counter clockwise just like the flash hiders. Here is a pic of mine stock and one with the surpressor on it. the surpressor is threaded on at the barrel break.

Are you sure yours is a D boys S-system and not thier selective rail model? Or I noticed that both the A&K and the JG S-systems do not have the convertable barrel also. That might also explain why the mag release is different also.
